How to Write Better AI Captions and Content

The Text Generator

Personify's text generator uses your persona to write content that sounds like you — not like a generic AI. It works best when you give it a clear direction.

Step 1 — Go to Generate → Text

Click Generate in the sidebar and select the Text tab.

Step 2 — Choose What You Want to Write

Type a prompt describing the content you need:

• *"Write a LinkedIn post about why I decided to leave my 9–5 to start my own business"*
• *"Write a 3-sentence Instagram caption for a photo of me speaking at an event"*
• *"Write a short professional bio for my website"*
• *"Write 5 hook ideas for a video about productivity tips"*

Step 3 — Add a Reference Image (Optional)

You can attach an image to give the AI visual context. For example, upload the photo you're about to post and ask it to write a caption that matches the mood.

Step 4 — Pick Your Model

• GPT-4 — Best quality, most nuanced writing
• GPT-4o — Required when using reference images (automatically selected)

Tips for Great Results

• Be specific about the platform — A LinkedIn post sounds different from a Tweet. Mention where it'll be posted.
• Mention your goal — *"...to grow my audience"* or *"...to promote my new course"*
• Iterate — If the first result is too formal or too casual, just add *"make it more casual"* or *"shorter and punchier"* to your next prompt.
• Daily limit: 50 text generations per day on the free plan.
